BUDGET AUDIO CASSETTE TO CD CONVERSION

For a direct transfer of audio tape contents to CD, with standard

processing on our sound mixer to remove some 'tape hiss', but NO

editing or chapters, we charge as follows:

  •   1 - 60 min Tape NZ$49 + GST (1 CD Created)

  •   61 - 90 min Tape NZ$55 + GST (2 CD's Created)

  •   91 - 120 min Tape NZ$60 + GST (2 CD's Created)

  •   121 - 180 min Tape NZ$65 + GST (3 CD's Created)

  •   Additional cost for GOLD 300 year Archival DVD is $10 + GST per disc

PREMIUM AUDIO CASSETTE TO CD CONVERSION

For a transfer of audio tape contents to CD, with professional

EQ processing on our sound mixer and computer system, AND

with straight-forward* editing AND creation of chapter titles,

we charge as follows:

  •   1 - 60 min Tape NZ$60 + GST (1 CD Created)

  •   61 - 90 min Tape NZ$65 + GST (2 CD's Created)

  •   91 - 120 min Tape NZ$69 + GST (2 CD's Created)

  •   121 - 180 min Tape NZ$80 + GST (3 CD's Created)

  •   Additional cost for GOLD 300 year Archival DVD is $10 + GST per disc

* If the editing is of a complex and time consuming nature, we

  reserve the right to charge extra for this.

 

REEL TO REEL AUDIO TAPE (1/4 inch) TO CD CONVERSION

  •   25-50 ft / 7.5cm reel (1 - 20 min per side) Audio Tape NZ$55 + GST each side (1 CD created)

  •   200 ft / 12.5cm reel (21 - 25 min per side) Audio Tape NZ$65 + GST each side (1 CD created)

  •   400 ft / 17.5cm reel (26 - 60 min per side) Audio Tape NZ$75 + GST each side (1 CD created)

  •   Longer than 400 ft reels of Audio Tape NZ$90.00 + GST each side (1 to 3 DVD's created)

  •   Splicing and tape repairs are $5 + GST per repair/splice

  •   Editing is negotiated at additional cost as required (from $15)

  •   Additional copy of created DVD $10 + GST per DVD

  •   Additional cost for GOLD 300 year Archival DVD is $10 + GST per disc

EXTRA'S

  •   Additional copies of created CD's are $10 + GST each

  •   MP3 Version via Email is available for small files only at $20 + GST each

Turnaround Time

The standard turnaround time is 5-10 working days (depending on workload).

If you have an urgent job, we can usually do  this within 12-48 hrs (depending on

quantities involved) for an additional cost of $10 + GST per tape.

 

Courier and packing is additional at cost.

 

* Note that some audio tapes may not be suitable for conversion, and the

  quality of the finished CD is dependent upon original tape quality.

* Plastic 'clam shell' CD cases can be provided with custom designed covers

  from $10 + GST.

Audio Cassette Tape Repairs

Audio-cassette Repairs

If your Audio-cassette tape is damaged EagleTV can often repair it for you and transfer

the contents to CD, therefore salvaging most of what would have been lost. 

 

The most common repairs are:

  •   Tape has broken free from capstans
  •   Tape has broken or is mangled
  •   Cassette Case is broken or cracked
  •   Tape is frozen and will not play
  •   Screws are missing
  •   Felt Wiper is damaged or missing

Our price to repair your Audio-cassette tape starts from $20 + GST, and the additional

price to transfer the salvaged contents to CD are shown above.

 

Standard Prices (Contact us for bulk discounts):

  •   To re-attach tape to capstans $25 + GST

  •   To splice broken or mangled tape $25 + GST

  •   To replace broken Cassette Case and re-load tape $39 + GST

  •   To replace missing screws $2 + GST per screw

  •   To replace missing or faulty Felt Wiper $10 + GST

If we cannot repair your tape, we will return it to you at our cost!

Note:  Tapes that have suffered dampness, water or spill damage, high

temperatures, extreme heat or severe impact damage, or are mouldy,

are not always repairable.  We reserve the right to transfer your audio

tape to a new cassette shell and to decline repairs that are ruled unreasonable

by our technicians.  Some times a tape may be damaged so badly that we

have no option but to cut the damaged tape and splice the cut ends together.

This of course will result in the loss of some of the material on the original tape,

but we will keep this to a minimum.
